Towing a FIAT Behind Class C RV was EASY.

During Season 1 (Summer 2020) we were frustrated with having to hook up and unhook the RV (water, electric, sewer hose) to do sightseeing. For example, in Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands (see earlier Season 1 posts) we ran into roads we couldn’t take RV on or parking a 24’ RV was an issue.Continue reading “Towing a FIAT Behind Class C RV was EASY.”

Ramblin’ Redwoods RV Park, Horseback Riding, and Stinky Sea Lions.

So we headed down to Crescent City, CA for our kid’s spring break. We had a good week and really liked this RV Park. Ramblin’ Redwoods was close to everything we wanted to see and do on vacation. Homepage It was a quiet RV park, had many redwoods, and some AMAZINGLY large tree stumps onContinue reading “Ramblin’ Redwoods RV Park, Horseback Riding, and Stinky Sea Lions.”

Darn it Thor Delano…and new things we are trying for Season 2….

The water busted on our 8-MONTH- old Thor Delano…again. Went to fill it and it auto-emptied. This water system had broke last season and it took Camping World an extra day to fix it. Apparently the fix didn’t last. Don’t know who I’m more irritated with about this. But I am irritated. Thankfully, thankfully, thankfullyContinue reading “Darn it Thor Delano…and new things we are trying for Season 2….”

Thor Delano FB RV – 2020. Diesel/DEF/LP Class C Trip Costs

We purchased our RV new from a Camping World – and they didn’t give us a full tank of diesel or DEF. I’m still sore about this. When we purchased it there were 2,395 miles on it. We ended our trip with 7,939 miles or 5,544 miles traveled. We put 28 hours on the generator.Continue reading “Thor Delano FB RV – 2020. Diesel/DEF/LP Class C Trip Costs”

Eagle RV Park in Thermopolis, WY – Lovely.

So traveled from Devil’s Tower across the Bighorn Mountains to Thermopolis, WY. We had an idiot light (check engine) en route. ‘Cause Nothing Ever Goes as Planned. We are on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis. It runs on diesel. We had just taken on diesel at a Cenex in Gillette,WY. We suspected bad gas, but pulledContinue reading “Eagle RV Park in Thermopolis, WY – Lovely.”

Adjustable Sewer Hose Carrier – This could be a disaster in the making….

So we currently have two sewer hoses for the RV. The small hose fits perfectly in storage area for it in RV. We bought a second more sturdy hose on the road while heading south from Sheboygan, Wi to Milwaukee, Wi after we dumped for the first time in northern Wi and decided we neededContinue reading “Adjustable Sewer Hose Carrier – This could be a disaster in the making….”

Devil’s Tower Early AM Hike – With Whiny Kid

The Devil’s Tower hikes in the early am are really awesome. As long as your 6 year old isn’t whiny. Also avoids 94 degree August afternoon weather…. We are staying at the Devil’s Tower KOA. It conveniently located RIGHT outside the gates to the National park. So we took our RV up to top ofContinue reading “Devil’s Tower Early AM Hike – With Whiny Kid”

Thor Delano RV FB 2020 – So The Awning Just $&@! Broke….

How many things can break on a brand new RV on our first trip you ask? Add yet another thing to the list. Now I know why guides tell you to buy used RVs. So we headed from Keystone, SD to Devil’s Tower, WY. Lovely trip. It was maybe an hour and 45 minutes? WeContinue reading “Thor Delano RV FB 2020 – So The Awning Just $&@! Broke….”

RV – Random things we have made, bought, or modified.

The Grand[parent] Tour – Part 3. We have now been living out of RV for about/over two weeks. Some stuff is still broken. But some things GParents were able to help us make, fix/modify. We needed interior step cover so elderly dog didn’t fall to her doom while we are driving. We had been usingContinue reading “RV – Random things we have made, bought, or modified.”
